My mom taught me to knit when I was 4 or 5. Before school. I knit my first sweater when I was in grade three, a pink baby sweater that I donated to the Red Cross. I still have the letter from them thanking me and telling me they'd supply the wool for anything I would knit for them. My granny Gwynne taught me how to 'turn a heel' to make socks. I was maybe 13 or 14. I really started making socks on a regular basis after we moved here and 2001 and I had to spend so much time with my parents - such a portable hobby! OK probably too much info here, but at my age dear I tend to ramble.
